Seymor Duncan SSL-5 Custom Staggered Strat pickup single coil - white

The white SSL-5 Custom Staggered Strat from Seymour Duncan is a special overwound single coil that strikes the ideal balance between increased output and bouncy Stratocaster tonal character. Originally designed for David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, the pickup delivers bigger, fatter chords, and singing single notes that cut through a mix more clearly than a traditional Strat pickup, without losing the sparkle that makes a Strat sound so unique. The SSL-5's bobbins are built with hand-ground alnico 5 rod magnets, lacquered, and then wound. The pickup is wax potted for squeal-free performance, while the oval Forbon flatwork enables it to fit into any guitar routed for single coils. Use with Vintage Staggered Strat pickups in the neck and middle positions for a Gilmour-style setup, or use an SSL-5 in the neck and the SSL-5 RWRP in the middle for a noiseless setup in the 2nd and 4th switch positions. The SSL-5 is carefully hand-built in Santa Barbara.
